There are no paychecks and virtually no overhead at Standing Up to POTS, so that more of your money goes toward our mission: to improve the quality of life for people with POTS through research, advocacy, and support. Standing Up to POTS is proud to conduct our own original research on postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) to help improve the quality of life of those suffering from this invisible illness. Initiated by Dr. Cathy Pederson, Standing Up to POTS has launched several major research projects on functional disability in the POTS population and its impact on quality of life. We also fund POTS research by leading physicians and researchers across the globe. We support and encourage research that can lead to improved quality of life for POTS patients now. To date, we have awarded $80,150 to POTS research teams in Canada, Germany, Sweden and the United States. Our IRS Employer Identification Number is 47-4805498.
